Caius Pius Esuvius Tetricus was the son of Tetricus I, and in 273, he was raised to the rank of Caesar by his father. When the Gallic Empire fell to Emperor Aurelian in 274, both father and son were paraded in Aurelian's triumph at Rome. Their lives were thereafter spared by the emperor and Tetricus's father was even given an official position in southern Italy.
