An interesting and desirable historical type, struck in the colony of Nemausus (Nimes in present day France) that paid tribute not only to Augustus but also his friend, the revered general Agrippa. The city was settled by veterans from the legions that had participated in Augustus's conquest of Egypt, with the chained crocodile representing that great victory.
